‘Dhing Express’ of Assam, Hima Is Clocking Faster Her Timing!

‘Dhing Express’ of Assam is clocking faster her timing and improving her golden performance with five international titles that Hima Das had fetched with gold spot at each, making India proud.

Big Challenge awaits for this young emergent athletic of India, Hima to make it to the top list in the coming Doha World Athletic Championships that is to be conducted from 28th September - 6th October as there will be top competitors with best timing profile.

Hima the dark horse made her opening as a new sprinter in Indian team with a big bang by becoming the first racer to race for top slot at global event like Under-20 World Championships, Finland. It seems Hima is more comfortable at European plane with fetch of five gold medals at its various events in this month alone.

Streaks of golden titles have added more weight to her career profile as today Hima outstands from rest of Indian athletes who dared to extremity. One can see how Hima is growing confident and stronger with gain of victory in her every new attempt.

But this does not mean she is unbreakable as earlier Hima had faltered few inches less to win Doha Asian Championships this year due to higher intensity muscle spasm. The Indian Sprint Queen has made a new marking with dramatic speed improvement by clocking 23.25 seconds in 200m (in Tabor, Czech Republic). Hima would require more time to clock past world’s best athletics Volker Herrmann’s speed. Hopes stuck for this golden girl from Assam to create her biggest miracle in her sports career at Doha World Championship.

Project Brahmaputra Expressway Is The Right Call To Save Assam From Flood?

Project Brahmaputra Expressway will be a proper investment as lot of worth to go for it where Rastriya Barh Ayog (RBA) had to state 39.58 % of Assam’s land is flood prone apart from being recognized as seismic zone.

Assam like rest of Northeast states comes under seismic zone that intensifies more risk of earthquake frequency apart from river inundation possibilities. Since this region is in India’s extreme east also faces intensive challenges of landslide due to flood and frequent earthquakes.

Accumulation of land from landslide and erosion affects rivers to swell, leading water to overflow the embankment and spread fast to new remote areas, causing extensive deposition of silt and sand to the areas. This on turn makes the village crop land unfit for cultivation.

Technique of dredging of rivers was started long way back during Congress regime but its impact was not potential enough. Project Brahmaputra Expressway’s dredging project on both sides of the river has got affected due to higher intensity rainfall this year causing 8000 hectares of land loss with more widening in river’s width. This entire mess is due to changes in weather condition and the alternative to it according to expert is through  open of more water channels as dredging is an exhaustive process with annual widening of rivers.

NRC Department Needs More Strategy To Make A Final Call

In the present phase National Register of Citizens (NRC) is in a mess as well known social figures were detected to be debarred from citizenship rights and became a talk of the town on the reliability of its verification process due to which the organization had to embrace more embarrassment.

People have land and property but no certified documents to proof their stance as valid citizens as some earlier unable to understand the value of citizenship document values felt there is no need to preserve and some may have misplaced their files or lost due to natural disaster.

People barely able to recall what promises made last year then how after forty years gap people can analyze from where their ancestors derived? Possibly NRC may require more than 30 days time frame to make a final call on its ready update report

It will be an age time if no particular date is set for NRC deadline as manpower for reverification is very limited where tools and technology for faster verification process are also limited where piles of work is more.

Can Green Bonus Save Himalayan Belt From Flood Ravages?

India is surrounded by extensive rivers on Himalayan zones which impacts the flood situation in the regions connected to it and the recent devastation caused by it is still unaccountable. So there is an emergency felt to erect an effective body to understand the environmental challenges and ways to recover from it without harming the eco-sensitive zones extensively.

Logistic of green bonus added in this new conservation initiative to help all states in this Himalayan belt to analyze the changes of river courses or the detail behavior of the respective state’s rivers to drive effectively Prime Minister’s water conservation mission without affecting the green environment during the process of development.

As currently there is not one state in Himalayan belt taking from Jammu to Tripura which eco-system had not been damaged extensively or went off balance with extensive deposition of silt, sand and weeds in the areas. Landslide has caused extensive damages to rare flora in rich green belt like Meghalaya, Nagaland and Arunachal Pradesh. So the urge for new regulatory body to understand the pattern of geographic changes due to extensive weather conditions had been and to act promptly with entire Northeast states’ participation.

Jayanta Hazarika’s Composition "Luitar Boliyaa Baan" Still Rhythms To Present Flood

This year’s high intensity flood ravage and future threat from rivers of Assam was beautifully encrypted in Jayanta Hazarika’s composition ‘Luitar Boliyaa Baan Koloi Nu Dhapoli Maliso,” the younger brother of noted singer Bhupen Hazarika.

2000 near villages of Assam went submerged in this year’s flood while now the situation is improving as river water level receding slowly but has left 1000 plus villages under its clutch as flood areas are on slow recovery path.

This composition was made during 1977 flood affect period where the late singer Jayanta Hazarika had created a humanitarian force named as “Xuur Bahini” in Golaghat to cater to the needs of the affected people in flood by taking this team of singers on to the road to collect money by singing indepth songs connected to present issues through his lead song ‘Luitar Boliyaa Baan”.

Now who would have thought that in present this decades back old song still could trend today and create pulse in common people to donate for flood affected people. Zunita Deka states, “Seeing the present ravage by flood waters in Barpeta it breaks the heart when we hear to the rhythm of Jayanta Hazarika’s song “Luitor Boliya Baan Koloinu Dhapoli Maliso”. Since we still don’t know to what extend the water of our rivers to take into devastating form and snatch our land underneath which we dearly had built a house. We still need people who can mobilize people with their soulful music as united force to do something in reality for the crores affected by this year flood.”

Nitumoni Das states, “If we see anyone of Jayanta Hazarika’s personality then it is Zubeen Garg who has fought extensively and given his peace of mind to restore others lives who had been devastated completely by flood. I have personally had witnessed him working very hard for flood relief irrespective of his high profile status. Though we today don’t have any personalities like Bhupen Hazarika and Jayanta Hazarika to pave the way for the present genre to fight for people’s right and to stand up for social causes as they did during their time, we see a hope in Zubeen Da, the Assam idol for many genres to come.”

Assam Police On To Robinhood Style?

Assam Police in Robinhood attempt, exposed as robbers when a Mizoram lady filed complaint against the four police men who on broad day light seized forcibly from her 20 Lakhs rupees on charges of fake print notes while she was away few kilometers from Vivanta Taj hotel, Guwahati where she had halted for few days.

Particularly it is the self style militant groups of the state who loots money on Robinhood concept to cater to the needs of the weak and poor. But in the wake of flood when financial help is in utmost need to secure the affected people many suspects such downfall act from the Assam Police team was attempted for the first time due to this reason.

Manob Choudhry a Guwahati resident who was shock by the whole affair as public’s security lies on Assam Police then why such an outrageous act should  be carried to defame the state security’s trust and marked, “Earlier during this year’s election such cases had occurred during the implementation of “flying squad” to seize vehicles carrying excessive money for fair poll game where the vigilance group out of greed had kept the money for oneself without informing the higher authority about illegal note seize report till a third party or the victim exposes.”

“Now these policemen caught in the trap are not professional criminals for the way they had robbed the Mizoram lady so foolishly that anyone can put them behind bars. 20 lakhs is not a small amount and there should be a reason for looting and this concept can be derived from Robinhood self style Assam militants. Whether it is for noble flood cause would be inaccurate to say as this matter entitled to higher investigation group of Assam Police to state. On general like any public this very doubt clicks on to the mind,” Manob Choudhury further added.
