After Assam Scribe Of Manipur To Come Under Medical Support

Undersanding the challenges of scribe who undergo through various situations to cover news for public feed about the latest happening now about 350 media persons will be benefited with CMHT card under the Manipur Chief Minister’s Health Assistance.


Recently Manipur Chief Minister N Brien Singh graced the moment by distributing the cards formally by him to the media persons at the Manipur Press Club. According to one Manipur scribe who stated, “This move is to ease the hardship meted out by the reporters continuously on their toes to inform the latest to the people on time, undergoes not only mental but physical strain not able to predict situation once on spot. There is constant need of mental and physical fitness where medical assistance is of utmost important to which would thank the government for enrolling us in this category.”


Currently Manipur government has covered 3.5 lakh people and assisted 12,000 enrolled under this free treatment scheme under India’s top public health scheme which was launched in the state last year. Allowance of 2.5 lakh per family for seven critical diseases plus Rs. 50000 allowance for primary and secondary ailments provided to those enrolled under this CMHT scheme. Already Brien Singh’s government has set present medical bill expenditure of 14 crore to beneficiaries under this scheme.
