Pahumara River Threatens To Pose As Danger!


Pahumara river in lower Assam which is rarely to be heard is creating flood panic this year by posing as a new threat as its swelling water due to incessant rain and Bhutan dam water release has started to show sudden change in it rise of water level, inundating new areas.


Intensity of water current of Pahumara river has wiped out three major embankments due to which life of the people were made miserable and continues to force people out from normal activities as large scale of institutions, offices and business areas are shut down due to high flood level.
    

Places like Kologuri, Maharani and Kenduguri of lower Assam are worst hit by Pahumara river which is likely to recede according to various sources if rain does not interferes. The SDRF and Army rescue people are still on high alert and ensuring highest figure of stranded people in flood are rescued.
