The Himalayan states are united in the demand of unique body to regulate and deal with endemic problems and environmental challenges for which had proposed a Union Ministry to Union Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman.
This unique Conclave was inaugurated by India’s Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman where except for Assam rest of the states of Northeast like Meghalaya, Arunachal Pradesh, Mizoram, Manipur, Nagaland, Sikkim and Tripura had made successful attempt to partake in it to understand centre’s new possibilities to confront the growing challenges of nature.
Can this separate ministry body to bring effective and positive changes to the growing challenges of inundation by rivers is a big question as faults are many and hurdles intensive to get past over flood devastation.
