                                       Boxer Lovlina Borgohain’s Psychic Warfare

This tall boxer from Assam, Lovlina Borgohain’s psychic warfare tactic is exemplary which she had proved during quarter final at Olympic 2020 in Tokyo when her name was stripped from her uniform as that happened with Manipur’s Mary Kom the world champion.

We could say it was unfortunate what had happened to Mary Kom who was completely at a loss of words when she was forced to change with a nameless top prior five minutes before the game. Even Lovlina was agitated with same treatment from the organizer but she retained her consistency without expressing psychic turmoil.

Mary Kom was disturbed which impacted her during boxing against an opponent whom she had defeated number of times, this failure made Lovlina Borgohain alert about the psychological warfare in Olympic sport and worked out perfectly against psychic warfare before the begin of the big fight.

It was strange that at the quarters neither Mary Kom nor Lovlina Borgohain sported their names on their top when their opponent displayed. Indian Boxing High Performance Director Santiago Niever stated names must have allowed on their vests which is strange it did not occur in big games like Olympic.

Even in the ring Lovlina had undergone psychic influences but she never let it to overpower her and concentrated to defeat her much powerful opponent Nien Chin Chen, Chinese Taipie to whom she had lost four times. Being initially a kick boxer it helped Lovlina to maintain exemplary footwork during Olympic boxing quarterfinal to duck and hit the opponent with winning points.

The fourth seeded Chinese Taipei player even seemed perplexed by her agility and footwork display that Lovlina reformed in her game statistic. The debutant Indian boxer Lovlina avenged in the ring all her frustration by exerting her aggressiveness to dominate with her powerful punches from all the directions due to which the judges had to make split decision.

Never was seen Lovlina in such aggressive manner, the fear of losing was great on her though she appeared fierce whenever her opponent choose to overpower her, she ducked, moved and struck not to be cowed down.

Lovlina would shine in the ‘Greatest show on Earth’ like Olympics was never thought about as she hailed from a remote village of Golaghat district, Assam and struggled to enlist her names on international chart.

Some where she missed in the big international tournaments and won also but Olympic is the platform that world No. 1 athlete seeks for and our Lovlina made a mark that Assam won’t forget apart from how she demonstrated boxing in proper psyche and spirit.

Lovlina Stunned India & Assam With Debut Olympic Medal In Boxing

Yesterday 29th July when the veteran national boxer Mary Kom went down 3-2 against Colombian player Ingrit Valencia, hopes of India winning medal in boxing was diminished when out of the blue Assam’s Lovlina Borgohain shone with 4-1 split decision against the fourth seeded World Champ Nien Chin Chen, Chinese Taipei..

Lovlina Borghain will make such swift cruise into Olympic boxing semi-final with such dynamic performance against Nien Chin Chen to avenge her previous defeat in her hands was unexpected. Maybe because tall and composed exterior of Lovlina never exposed her inner fire to conquer.

Challenge for Lovlina Borgohain to become more challenging when she has to put up with top seed Busenaz Surmenali, Turkey on 4th August at Women’s Welter Weight 69kg at Kokugikan in Tokyo Olympics. The 23 year old girl from Golaghat district Assam who brought hope to the state sports by being the first athlete to qualify for Olympics would go further with medal in this grand game that the world witness is exemplary job done.

Best of Lovlina is her kickboxing experience that she earlier started off as a career before entering into boxing  as those steps helped her to win against her tough opponent from Chinese Taipei. Word from Lovlina as that goes ‘boxing gave me the power to embrace failure’ due to which she is able to avenge back her defeats against Chin Chen. Three Cheers for this bronze lady Lovlina Borgohain who is meditating on gold finally at Olympics.
