The Russian Sputnik vaccine is in Assam after a long wait at only Guwahati’s Amingaon centre Naryan Super-specialty Hospital while rest vaccine centers are adhered to Covaxin and Covishield.
In Guwahati only 20 percent population received vaccine dose as the process is slow and the population is large. The vaccination drive in Assam is controlled as per to the higher positivity rate in areas. Overall in Assam only 36.69% of population covered by vaccine which is rather slow in process that the government needs to pace up.
