Strongest opponent of BJP ruling party Akhil Gogoi seems to be his biggest threat for being extremely outspoken, this time the new MLA from Sivsagar district had leaked questions of the Assembly House to the media before the query hour.
Assam Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma on this open nature of Akhil Gogoi concluded that it is most “Unfortunate”. At the Assembly House the BJP members raised this issue and demanded.
According to Speaker Daimary, answers to the questions by the members sent to the concerned MLAs of Assam to ensure that the concerned MLA can learn and prepare supplementary questions at the assembly session. It is not legal for the Ministers to leak reply to the media before placing it in the Assembly hour.
Under this allegation Akhil Gogoi retaliated to show that his conduct was not legal. To this BJP Legislator Manat Deka denounced Gogoi’s act which is in the contempt of the House and violation of Assembly privilege. Leaking details before the start of the Assembly session is an illegal act and cannot answer to the media prior to the query hour.
