Assam's Pride Lovlina Few Punches Away From Olympic Medal With Initial Win




Scripted the unexpected in Assam's sports history by winning against Nadine Aptez, Germany a two time World Champion bronze medalists in the grueling first round to settle for 3-2 victory points by Lovlina Borgohain.

Both the boxers from India and Germany made their debut in Olympics at 64 kg round in women's boxing but Nadine was 12 years senior to Lovlina Borgohain.
