Plan to raise ten new battalions of Assam Police as a recruitment drive, proposed by the state Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma was announced recently by the BJP government.
Employment drive under one lakh posts opening proposal made by the Himanta Biswa Sarma government during election this plan has established to input 15,248 vacancies in Assam Police.
The mode of posting will be partially on promo of about 4,537 posts apart from recruitment basis to 10,711 posts. It is in the level of fourth grade about 1,109 posts and lower division posts of about 13,591 will be opened for the eligible ones. But the purpose of opening posts in large scale for this category of jobs is to secure the valuable resources of Assam.
