Tiger the big cat population in Assam is quite dense where three populated domains of it like Kaziranga, Manas and Orang are acknowledged in India’s fourteen tiger reserve.
Manas reserve acclaimed internationally as the highest
feline diversity of big cats, contains seven cats species.
Assam’s Pakke Tiger reserve and Nameri though did not
make to CA/TS (Conservation Assured Tiger Standards) but Kaziranga, Manas and
Orang got acknowledged by Bhupendra Yadav the Union Minister of Environment,
Forest & Climate Change during the ceremony of Global Tiger’s Day.
