Manipur’s ace football player who aced many goals that brought laurels to the country and her state, Bala Devi took the international praise a ‘AIFF’ Women’s Footballer of the Year’ for the 2929-21 season.
This mercurial striker Bala Devi from Northeast became the first Indian woman footballer to score for European professional football league. Bala Devi’s remarkable stunt in beating some of the star international players fetched her the ‘AFC International Player of the Week’ title in the end of 2020.
Under the stress of COVID last year when Bala had just arrived in Scotland had to counteract immense hurdle before training herself to get out of it to concentrate on goals which today has paid her well.
