Assam Regiment Platinum Jubilee Marked With Etched War Memorial Of 376 Martyrs

After Kolkata New Rs. 500 Notes To Be Availed In Meghalaya Soon


Presently only Rs. 2000 notes are calibrated in Northeast ATMs as proposed for smaller denomination notes like Rs.500 and Rs. 1000 where after Kolkata Rs.500 will be issued in a week in Meghalaya.

Ministry of Finance will ensure personally whether strong economic areas of the state like West Khasi Hills, Ri-bhoi and West Jainita Hills Districts are dispatched with small denomination notes. Till yet SBI ATMs of Meghalaya are not calibrated with new Rs. 500 notes which will be facilitated within the time frame.

Fun and festivity dons the colorful lighted streets of Manipur even when cashless period of demonetisation holds people back. In this festive season to attract large scale of people from the globe about 300 stalls had been installed to give space for 43 different State government departments including 35 handloom and Thailand pavilions.



Even to grace this famous cultural festival of Manipur even foreign delegates will attend. Myanmar's Chief Minister U Hoang Ngai, Japan's Ambassador Kenji Hiramatsu including delegates from Thailand and Sri Lanka graced the inauguration eve of Sangai Festival 2016, Manipur on 20th November.

Sonowal’s Final Intervention In Prime Minister’s Office To Normalize Berserk Cashless Situation Of 900 Tea Gardens

The wage berserk scenario in 900 tea gardens rocked Assam government as tea communities of the state are strong voting support during election due to which Chief Minister Sarbanada Sonowal had to finally intervene Prime Minister Narender Modi’s office in New Delhi capital city of India.


Managing more than lakhs of tea workers in 900 plus tea gardens of Assam became a major stress as the tea owners could not disperse required cash to the commissioners as sudden decision of demonetisation of Rs 500 and Rs 1000 notes became a gigantic impediments.


Even Prime Minister Modi scrutinizing into the matter sanctioned Sonowal to make required step to ease the tension. According to the government official Assam Chief Minister Sonowal on 10th Nov made special arrangement for the tea owners to draw as much cash required through their cheque made to the commissioners to clear weekly dues of their workers.



This crisis could have been minimal if it is on monthly basis payments were made but since every weekend cash inflow should be made so almost more than ten lakh plus tea laborers were affected by demonetization step by PM Modi on 8th Nov.
