Meghalaya government in a major move to control illicit
activities through cable network ensured full authority to customers to lodge
complaints against any unethical motion display.
Media which has become a voice of democracy but at times sounds
nuisance to those who have to tolerate garbage of violating display and in lieu
to this secure watching has been made ensured by Meghalaya Government.
On Cable Television Networks like print publication there is no
supervision but in a sudden initiative the Deputy Commissioner of East Khasi
Hills District and Chairman for District Monitoring Committee for enforcement
of the Cable Television Networks (Regulation) Act, 1995 issued phone numbers
for complaint lodge to the public if they find unethical information displayed.
