No doubt there is abundance of water resource in entire
Northeast region but better programming of it is required to utilize it in best
methodology for state's benefit to avoid natural calamities from it due to
which Mizoram Watershed Development Agency has reached Madurai, Tamil Nadu to
research on their best methodologies.
This Agency which is headed by Mizoram K Lalrinzuali and CC
Lakchuangkima the project director brought to light that there are versatile
watershed development projects in Madurai which includes varied types of dams,
recharge shaft, farm ponds and percolation ponds.
