Budget for AIIMS set up in rest of five selected zones of India
by 2020 has been sanctioned whereas proposed Changsari, Assam remains uncertain
as fund is on withheld.
Conflict over AIIMS set up in Assam has aroused out of Nagaon district’s
intervention to stress on Changsari selection reconsideration which is situated
near North Guwahati, Kamrup district when there is better viable option like
Raha.
Health and Family Welfare Ministry on AIIMS fund sanction matter
for Assam mentioned that monetary dispatch decision will take within the time
frame of October 2020. Currently funds for AIIMS project set up in selected
five zones ranges from Rs 925 to Rs 1754 crore.
