On the auspicious day of Lachit Divas, commemorating
legendary ruler Veer Lachit Borphukan who remained vindicated over tough enemy
like Mughal invaders who then had created tremors in India with their clean
sweep victory in major kingdoms, paid tribute by Chief Minister Sarbananda
Sonowal.
Asom Divas which Lachit Divas is popularly celebrated
in entire Assam was marked by Chief Minister Sonowal at Jalukbari junction of Guwahati.
Even Banwarilal Purohit, Assam Governor notified in his speech about the
exemplary patriotic ruler’s intense love and sacrifice for his motherland.
