Guwahati Traffic Has Been Intensified Due To Pollution Test Queues

Nobody wants to miss the chance of witnessing the vibrancy of the major annual festival in the heart of Guwahati capital city which mood colorfully lifts up during Durga Puja especially where city's commercial streets remains crowded more than a week before but presently it has been presided by Pollution Test Centers.

It is not a delightful but rather a painful sight to see unbelievable vehicle queue of 3 Kms to 4kms long near Pollution Test Centers. The unpleasant sight for Durga puja crowd is that such huge queues of vehicles are intervening in the traffic activity in central part of the city.

Now this is highly dampening Durga Puja festivity in Guwahati as people have minimized car travelling due to fear of being charged for 10,000 fine without valid Pollution certificate apart from rest driving laws.

Why Northeast Is Following A Sudden Trend In Rising Temperature?

A collective IMD (Indian Meteorological Department) data research on climatic change in various destinations of Northeast like Shillong, Gangtok, Guwahati, Cherrapunji, Imphal, Silchar, Pasighat and Dibrugarh reflects high rate in minimum as well as in maximum temperature.

Manipur’s Imphal capital city is adversely affected by the increasing trend of maximum temperature during monsoon which is affecting its agro system. Similarly Cherrapunji is affected during post monsoon. Except for Guwahati no states report increasing trend of rainfall during post monsoon in Northeast.

Drastic extreme temperature trend in Northeast is cultivating due to increase in deforestation and lack of emphasis in restoring earth’s greenery apart from increase in vehicle movements and infrastructure growth. If the green system that regulates our lifeline is neglected then it can bring adversities of Delhi’s polluted environment.
