Mizoram Serious On Outgrowing Organic Farming For Healthy State


Mizoram Agriculture Minister C Lalrinsanga in his new strategic attempt to escalate organic firming which was sidelined for long after its introduce has stressed the state government to collaborate with Central Scientific Industrial Research (CSIR) and Mizoram University to find out natural methodologies to fertilize the soil and improve crop productivity without making buyers to intake harmful chemicals based food.


Previously the Mizo National Front group of the state failed to implement the Organic Act effectively after its introduce in the agro system. But this time they are focused to set massive effort on natural farming without chemical fertilizer usage to deliver greater healthy crop food in the market. Lalrinsinga is determined to set up a biological control laboratory at Lengpui, Aizwal and introduce pests that naturally kills the harmful pests affecting human crops.
