A Relief To Government Contractors' Processing In Arunachal Pradesh



On advantage of Arunachal Pradesh development the newly elected BJP Chief Minister Perna Khandu has directed all ban against Government issued cheques and drafts to the Department of Finance to ease out contractors reliant on government funds to processes their allotted job.


This order on uplift of cheques and draft ban is soon to be exercised by the state’s finance department under the new government lead by the former leader Pema Khandu on the basis of agents’ performance as per to legal norms when any project sanctioned to them.

Meghalaya To Boost The Mandates Of Agricultural Produce

Headed under Chief Minister Conrad K Sangma the NPP led MDA Government the Agriculture department under Horticulture is to witness a new initiative to introduce crop production like black pepper and tezpatta or bay leaf as the main produce.


Interestingly in this new agro decision Mawsynram Congress legislator, Himalaya Muktan Shangpliang has considered bay leaf and black pepper as the mandate agricultural crops under the Horticulture department where the cultivators will be relieved from tax since it is recognized as an agriculture produce apart from encouraging more local farmers into this farming as it can be produced in normal soil without interfering into forest land.

Kokrajhar Initiates Skill Development Advantage In Potential Job Oriented Fields

Headed by Guwahati NGO based 'Pragati Edutech' in alliance with Kokrajhar unit of the Red Horns Division has initiated employment advantage programme through conduct of skill development introductory capsule at Bodofa Cultural Complex in Kokrajhar, Assam on 30th May.


The Guwahati based 'Pragati Edutech' NGO faculties to represent the event made presentation on skill development in potential job oriented fields like tourism and hospitality industries to a crowd of 450 students from various destinations like Chiang, Dhubri, Goalparaand Kokrajhar districts of Assam.


Eligible participants will be selected in this educative programme after screen test before being registered for the three months vocational training in the particular lane of skills in Guwahati. Tripura Woman Headed With Arms In Train Nabbed By RPF Jawans

Trading illegal stuffs in train won’t be an easier attempt again as railway security has tightened its vigilance where a Northeast woman from Gomati district, Tripura was nabbed by RPF jawans during their search in Agartala bound local train.


Identified culprit was named as Shila Rani Chakma, a thirty years plus woman who hailed from Nutan Bazar of Gomati was assisted by Dilip Debbarma and Lawrence Debbarma in this entire operation of illegal arms supply network.


Shila Rani Chakma who was travelling from Dharmanagar was not lucky enough to ward off her two assistants when they came to pick her up from the station at Agartala as the RPF jawans promptly waited to net in them.

It is common for young sportsperson to leave their academic future in dwindle once after hitting success in their career which is not a positive aspect that the Indian Sprint queen Hima Das has braved to balance her academic aspects equivalently along with her sport focus to create international records.

Centre Again On To A Stall Over Subansiri Hydro Project Sanction

Ill fated as it is the Subansiri Lower Hydro Electric Project has been receiving blows from decades where since December 2011 the Arunachal Pradesh government has been witnessing stall in its progress where the latest blow that it received when the National Green Tribunal (NGT) filed objection with an analytical environment insight to the Supreme Court.

It is likely Subansiri project to gain in more eligible features to win Supreme Court’s confidence to assert sanction for its successful implementation in Arunachal Pradesh.

Meghalaya Govt Set To Reach All The Parameters Of Food And Drugs Under FSSAI

In the aim to improve the quality of consumable products in the market for the safety and welfare of state’s people the Meghalaya is to ensure that there is no lapse in food and drugs testing laboratory equipments as the Centre has granted Rs 9.45 crore financial support to upgrade its standard of processing.


Centre's financial boost to the state in this mission is to empower the Meghalaya directorate of health services (research), Shillong to become a fully-equipped food and drugs testing laboratory by March 2020 with proper infrastructure set up and upgrade with latest hi-end testing equipment.


Year after this 1980s' version food and drug testing laboratory at the premises of Pasteur Institute is all set to get a new look with advantage in ease of greater burden to keep a tap on quality check of consumable products.


The Meghalaya Government estimates to modify the chemical section to ensure its full operation on the floor by September 2018 if equipments arrive on time. But before that there is a long process in selecting right vendors with sufficient figures as it is crucial plus import process of required equipments need to be ready so that no impediments occurs in reaching all the parameters under Food Safety and Standards Authority of India (FSSAI).


If Meghalaya reaches the parameters of FSSAI with sufficient arrangement of manpower in various section of its modified version laboratory that is to be established then the state would not have to depend on Assam’s Guwahati division for the regulation of the entire process and would be liberal to take quick action in food and drugs quality check.

Assam CM Sonowal Would Not Comprise Animal Death Toll Due To Flood

A strict warning was given by the Assam chief minister Sarbananda Sonowal on Sunday to the concerned department people related to flood control to be more proactive in handling flood related issues as maximum flora and fauna were affected last year due to displace  of exceeding water level.

Guwahati Woke Up To The Jolt Of Fani's Return!


It was 9 p.m. at night in Guwahati capital city when a silent roar of wind took rapidly to a gigantic note as if it is the return of Fani's smaller series in Assam when state’s Guwahati capital city yesterday on 12th May was knocked down heavily by a strong gust of cyclonic storm.


This cyclonic storm identified as seasonal storm Bordoisila left many people injured passing on the road as it fairly gave an earlier warning where people on the road did not get much time to prepare for escape. The intensity of this cyclonic storm is estimated to be within 90 to 100 kmph speed.


Entire city went black out for a certain phase of time during pre and post of the cyclonic storm strike as many electric poles, trees and infrastructures were severely affected by its high intensity speed that brought high spell of rain and hailstones in certain area of Guwahati, Assam.

According to the forest official this captured leopard has caused no harm except for creating panic in the people during his unexpected visit to the place. This is just a half job done as there is another to catch hold of according to the forest official.

Such interaction with scary wildlife animals is not a first case in the ONGC colony as the forest officials had handled multiple of cases to derive the wandered ones to place them in their secure zone in the sanctuary that is near to the campus where interestingly had witnessed an unusual case when a female leopard had given birth to two cubs.

Assam Government Plans For Alternatives To Restore Operation Of Two HPC Paper Mills

Revival of two affected paper mills of Hindustan Paper Corporation Limited (HPC) has been assured with alternatives to help the company to overcome their long pending dues and legal issues by the Assam government when the National Company Law Tribunal (NCLT) has initiated proceedings on their bankruptcy.


According to Assam Chief Minister Sarbananda Sonowal the bankruptcy case that was imposed upon HPC’s two units the Cachar Paper Mill,Panchgram and Nagaon Paper Mill, Jagiroad was reopened this month and is planning to reviving them back with alternative options through legal proceedings.

Supreme Court Determines To Seal The Fate Of 40,70,707 People On 31st July

In the last final draft of the National Register of Citizens (NRC) in Assam accounts 40,70,707 people as illegal residents where 37,59,630 after re-validation process were detected to be invalid where 2,48,077 rest are still on the process of verification.


On to this continued process of NRC validation finally a decision was made by the Supreme Court on Wednesday that 31st July result will seal the fate of the complaint figure of people permanently.
