Already Subansiri project has got the green signal from the
Supreme Court to initiate its implementation for effective processing after
prolong decades old hurdles, Arunachal Pradesh where on the next is proceeding
to bag the 608-MW Attunli Hydro Electric Project at Tangon river in Dibang
Valley district.
This hydro venture of Arunachal is to be headed by Mis
Attunli Hydro Electric Power Company Ltd (AHEPCL)- in collaboration with Jindal
Power Limited including HPDCAP the state-owned Hydro Power Development Corporation
of Arunachal Pradesh.
This Tangon water resource hydro project is a bold
initiative derived from the concept of Subansiri controversial project due to environmental
issues, the ministry's EAC after hearing NGT's expert committee’s view on their
indepth research on counteract of environment challenges felt right to proceed the
3097 MW-empowered Etalin Hydroelectric Project.
EAC has granted green signal in processing Tangon river hydro
project as It has found that the Expert Committee has kept all the norms intact
without messing with environmental guidelines and agreed to their recommendations.
