Headed under Anindita Chanda the Senior Medical Officer in respect of health and sanitation has issued bar against traders from trading who are unable to produce updated valid trade licenses including inability to maintain hygiene as per to the city's municipal authority's norms in Guwahati, Assam.
On the decision of the Health Branch of Guwahati Municipal Corporation (GMC) an intensive drive related to healthy trading was launched in the main commercial area of the capital city at Ganeshguri area where officials under inspection has imposed required penalties as per to the GMC Act.
In this Guwahati Municipal’s health mission about 26 traders relating in health trading came under the scrutiny in the first phase of its operation where necessary steps against them had been issued.
