Nalbari, Assam Seeks Changes In River Course To Solution Erosion Let Massive Land Devastation

Slowly the monsoon has peaked in Assam but already has left its intense impact of erosion due to continued heavy rain that has not only caused river swelling but also had inundated multiple villages for which the Nalbari district in joint effort with Kamrup Rural districts have initiated effective method in changing river courses.



Especially the Pagladiya river has taken abnormal courses and inundated unexpected areas of Nalbari border areas with follow of series erosion, leaving instantly people landless and shelter less within a day.


The Nalbari district villagers on a pro-active measures have decided to arrange financial support through people’s contribution to buy extensive wood and bamboo supplements to erect canal by the side of the Pagladiya river so that naturally water takes to diversification without causing further erosion and inundation.
