Northeast students have come under the scanner of Centre
and due to which recently ‘Ishaan Uday’ scheme with 10, 000 scholarships was
introduced for financial support to help them pursue their desired field of
education.
This scheme is to boost each caliber student of North eastern
region (NER) to expose their talents and serve best the nation and his state which
he or she represent in better highlight. Scholarship will be sanctioned to
those students of the Northeast who are inclined to pursue their studies
outside the state.
Reservation of supernumeray seats for NER students in
technology, engineering, architecture and pharmacy courses will be implemented
by institutions approved by the All India Council for technical Education
(AICTE). To enhance NER student’s quality of education the AICTE scheme has
been implemented which is known as North East Quality Improvement Programme
(NEQIP). It is to help in aid financially to the students of NER involved in technical
study in the northeast institutes.
