Railway transit accounts highest population
of travelers and in account of this higher possibility of child mishaps
relating to various factors are registered by the authorities but unable to
process special care to them after their recovery from various circumstances
and investigation process.
In the attempt to make special
arrangements for the recovered child under its arena for the betterment of the
budding generation the Guwahati Railway authority has signed a (MoU) memorandum
of understanding pact with the NF Railway Women Welfare Organization (NFRWWO)
including Prayas lAC Society to establish a shelter home at the city station on
its number 1 platform.
Growing child crime at popular
transit points have become a major issue as after their recovery from various
phase of incidents unable to confront various matters in supporting them during
their stay with them. So the Guwahati Railway authority has decided to set up a
special care infrastructure for the rescued children by Railway Protection
Force (RPF) including various groups like (GRP) Government Railway Police or
Childline, NGO’s and Child Help Desk.
