As state continues to reel under flood with
deteriorating scenario UNICEF has started to deploy seven teams of technical
specialists and consultants to aid DDMAs of Nagaon, Darrang, Cachar, Hojai,
Biswanath, Dima Hasao and Morigaon to control flood relief camps.
Dima Hasao has recieved 24 MT food items with
the help of IAF apart from Rs 2 crore fund from the government. In addition 343
relief camps and 411 relief distribution centres have been opened to
accommodate 86,772 affected people.
