Under Goalpara district of Assam the farmers had made a tie up with local brick industry businessman to allot their paddy field on a seasonal basis for brick making after the end of their cultivation which as a consequence has deteriorated the quality of the soil.
This allowance of brick making on paddy field for lease receives severe burns while digging the ground and burning coals to heat the freshly made bricks that leaves the former land quality deteriorated. The brick owners provide lakhs of brick production at cheaper rate in the local market with greater profit in comparative to their investment but the framers had to undergo greater loss as the soil become unfit for quality farming production.
