The Mizoram government alleged that Assam Police
personnel had stolen their construction material from a bridge construction
site near the area adjoining to Assam Border but Hailakandi police authority
had to state it was the neighboring state who broke the border discipline.
The construction of bridge which was attempted by the Mizoram workers did not adhere to border policy and entered Assam’s Hailakandi area at Kachurthal that is under the supervision of Ramnathpur police station.
But Mizoram officials had to claim that it was Assam
Police who broke the disciple and entered their Zophai area that falls under
Kolasib district to which the deputy commissioner H Lalthlangliana. Kolasib urged
the Hailakandi DC to probe into the matter of Assam Police act of stealing
materials and stopping their bridge construction process.
It seems “Tu Tu Mein Mein’ series between Mizoram and
Assam border won’t cease, a little stress on the border would trigger more
adversity in relation.
