Minister for Food Processing Industries and Kiren Rijiju stressed on Special
Category status restoration for the Northeastern states though Tihu, Nalbari
district of Assam as a welcome to Narendra Modi’s nationwide 42 mega food parks
project, launched one.
The BJP-led government has
sanctioned Rs 2000 crore to NABARD, from current budget of Rs 53,000 crores for
entire Northeast. Interested entrepreneurs can seek desired fund to raise food
processing units as The Reserve Bank of India prioritize such sector.
According to union minister this
project is initiated to achieve multiple targets at one time by not only
boosting food chain entrepreneurs but also to improve the agriculture and
horticulture scenario with large-scale employment.
