Desperation for change in Congress is evident with loss of efficient leaders to BJP due to which the party has appointed Bhupen Borah as the state party Chief.
Including Bhupen Borah three working presidents Kamalakhya Deb Purkyastha, Zakir Hussain Sikdar and Rana Goswami took to new posts in the Congress party.
Congress
along with the support of the grand alliance continues to be a strong opponent for
the ruling party Bharatiya Janta Party.
