Assam Stirs As It Lacks Behind ILP From Rest Northeast

In a venture to protect the indigenous people of Assam body AJYCP (Asom Jatiyatabadi Yuva Chatra Parishad in the demand for Inner Line Permit (ILP) created a human chain in Dibrugarh district.

AJYCP’s Unit General Priyabrat Gohain stated that it is unfortunate that Assam unlike rest states of Northeast who have secured Inner Line Permit (ILP) long back has not still yet implemented this rule as today the indigenous people here are in threat. Previously multiple times ILP issues had been raised but without any solid result. ILP issue to outsiders contains duration of stay and places of visit. Implementation of this system helps to control influx of migrants from outside Assam.
