Arunachal Pradesh Extortion Case In The Name Of Security

It is sad that the poor villagers of Tirap district have to pay extortion money to the militants as its forest has become a hub for the Northeast militants to which six Assam Rifles Battalion’s Commanding Officer had a session with Colonel AK Das and other senior police officials including district administration officials to protect the locals.

Villagers have to abandon their livestock under pressure though they see no point in serving them as they are given protection by the government forces. Shortly eighty villagers of Tirap district determined to go against the extortion policy made by the militants of various states taking shelter in their forests. Headmen of eighty villagers had a meet with Assam rifles at Khonsa base of Tirap district in Arunachal Pradesh.
