Mary Kom’s golden “knock out” seems not to cease with another
clinch of gold at the home ground in India at Indra Gandhi stadium to create a
record of being the first woman to win six World Championship titles with a
clean 5-0 knock out score against her 22years Hanna Okhota, Ukarian opponent.
Thrilling as well as an overwhelming moment for India when the
35 years old Indian female boxer Mary Kom broke down with tears after creating
the historic performance with the clinch
of the sixth gold medal at 48kg category World Championship title that ever
anyone had done except for the legendary male Cuban heavy weight boxer Felix
Savon.
Manipur’s pride has inspired all Northeast sportsperson with
her dynamic performance and this Mary Kom raised the spirit of Indian sportsmen
and boxing fans with honor after creating a world history to become the first
women on earth to lift World Championship titles for the sixth time. A salute
to this indomitable spirit who has emerged to inspire the world and map
Northeast worldwide.
