Northeast Frontier Railway Publicly Awards Best Employee For Proactive Brave Act To Ensure Safe Journey

Northeast Frontier Railway brings exclusive proactive and life saving act of its employees to a public platform for grand recognition of their unique contribution towards people's service with cash and certificate by the General Manager NFR.


Kakan Sarkar (driver) and Amardip Kumar’s (Assistant Driver) sharp sight and proactive act had saved New Delhi to Guwahati bound train ‘Poorvattar Samprak Kranti Express’ from a major inferno and disaster on 2nd April 2019 by indicating other train staff about the catch of fire in their pantry section.


Kuldip Sharma (junior engineer) (C&W), Jadu Nath Sarkar technician I (C&W) and Bakul Chandra Daimary Technician I (C&W) had manually saved New Delhi ‘Poorvattar Samprak Kranti Express’ from a major disaster when supervising in New Bongaigaon station. They averted smoky engulf in the train by releasing the brake binding attached on both trolleys of a coach without brake beam pin that later could have caused major mishap on 14th April 2019.


Subhan Chandra Baruah (senior technician) and Silu Das technician I (C&W) following same month the next day on 15th April at Mariani Station was on to a proactive inspection and sensed fault in Amritsar bound Dibrugarh train. Immediately warned the station manager about the malfunction of the axle box wing and primary spring of a particular coach of the Amritsar train and got it detached.


Senior engineer on duty of Katiahar station was informed by Shah a railway employee about a goods train which inner and outer coil spring were missing from the rear trolley and averted a big mishap by detaching the wagon on the same day on15th April. Each employees were presented with exemplary certificate and cash reward of Rs. 3000.
