Mizoram Few Marks Behind To Swipe Clean The Winner Sikkim For The Top Spot

Indian’s ‘Cleanest State’ decision by NSSO (National Sample Survey Office) witnessed Mizoram from Northeast to be few points behind Sikkim to race for the title though it had tough competitors like Kerala, Himachal Pradesh, Uttarakhand, Haryana and Punjab from rest of India.

Impact of ‘Swach Bharat Abhiyan’ campaign of Narendra Modi has gone deep into the roots of Northeast as it was not only Mizoram to get first noticed among the top ten states of India but also even Meghalaya, Nagaland and Manipur also had emerged to win the coveted position. This title helps a state to represent it as a class and right place for tourism which Northeast had lagged much behind earlier.
