A New Aviation Ground To Boost Bodoland Future Economy



Bodoland is regarded as an industrious area of Assam with erect of varied categories of production centers in the region due to which the Assam Chief Minister Sarbananda Sonowal had laid the foundation of its first aviation ground to give a new boost to its economy and widen its market .

Rupsi airport foundation was recently laid by Assam CM Sarbananda in Korajhar district of Assam that is under Civial Aviation Ministry's project of Rs. 70 crores investment.


Union Civil Aviation Minister Suresh Prabhu who had also graced the event was quite positive of this dynamic aviation approach by the government that is to facilitate operation  of ATR 72-500 aircraft with position of wide scale terminal in an area of 3,500 square meter to draw in greater figure of passengers from its neighboring districts like Bongaigaon, Dhubri, Nalbari and other areas.


Under Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s emphasis this  Bodoland aviation scheme was initiated under central government's development scheme for rapid economic growth of the state.
