Sikkim Sets IT Course At Early Stage To Prepare An Efficient E-Governance State


In vision to technology’s crucial role in building and directing state and nation’s future, the Sikkim government has initiated IT course in the educational sectors so  that the upcoming youth of the region do not lapse in its undertaking especially when state’s e-governance demands for successful digital operation candidates.


Currently the Sikkim government has assigned India's leading IT company Microsoft Inc to co-operate with them in enhancing government based educational sectors with introduce of technology based curriculum in class VI to  X courses. 


According to the MoU agreement ink with the world’s one of the leading software company  Microsoft the Sikkim authority expects them to supplement 100 expert trainers at the State Council for Educational Research and Training (SCERT) labs on IT curriculum. In addition the Microsoft is proposed by the Sikkim government to assist two government based schools in imparting digital literacy through introduce of digital skills training to its student cum teacher sectors.
