Assam’s 80’s Eco-Friendly Diwali Celebration Is Soon To Become A Present Vogue



Existent pollution havoc in the air can be intensified with the release of dangerous chemicals from the firecrackers that can mar the joy of celebrating Diwali but less harmful cracker products introduced 80’s from Gannakkuchi lower Assam can revive the grand occasion’s spirit as it is eco-friendly.


According to the Assam’s Pollution Control Board the present harmful barium nitrate cracker items should be replaced by the handmade low pollution “green crackers” to welcome this year Diwali in gentle tone. Less chemical and noise pollution for a healthy Diwali is current government’s mantra as already in many places of India especially the city zones are into higher health hazards due to air poisoning.


The Assam government has taken initiative to support financially and build infrastructure to boost such indigenous “green cracker” producers to pick up the margin of loss after closing the highly chemical based crackers.


This 80’s cracker items can soon can become in the vogue to mark the grand occasion in a healthy with much innovative process in developing various crackers items as this Gannakkuchi, Barpeta unit of explosive producers has limited items.


The statutory body PESO (Petroleum and Explosive Safety Organization) first need to approve Gannakkuchi cracker unit’s explosive product items to signal them for machinery production to meet the demand in the market.
