Mandeep Singh Dhillon the brave Wing
Commander of 115th Helicopter Unit from IAF Tezpur, Assam was in his rescue
operation at the high altitude of Arunachal Pradesh’s landslide hit zones before
crashing to his death.
Doubt of crash is estimated due
to extreme bad weather condition and steep height of Arunachal that impelled
Commander Dhillon’s helicopter out of control before landing into crash.
Not only Assam but Indian Air
Force (IAF) has made big loss with Wing Commander Dhillon’s demise as he is recognized
as the best pilot in helicopter maneuvering.
In the combat to rescue the
stranded people of landslide hit zones of Sagalee and Papum Pare areas of Arunachal
Pradesh the Wing Commander Dhillon along with co-pilot Flight Lieutenant PK
Singh and state Police official had laid their lives after rescuing 160 people
under the worst weather condition.
It was 18 years tough terrain experience
for Wing Commander Dhillon for which he was appointed for this special task and
hence was arguably known as the best pilot in helicopter operation, bringing
immortality in the memory of the rescued and Arunachal people.
