SpiceJet Ready For A New Takeoff To Boost Assam Tourism


SpiceJet airline no doubt has strong inflow of Northeast employees but it is likely to take off their strategy in this eastern zone with greater outlook where even Assam Tourism will be benefited.


Under Centre's initiative 'Act East', SpiceJet has taken a bold measure to set up major training institutes in Northeast, enhance Southeast Asia network with Thailand and Myanmar, boost infrastructure projects and professional groom up centers if Assam Government complies like Kolkata to minimize aviation fuel sales tax.


According to Ajay Singh, SpiceJet Chairman and Managing Director of budget carrier the Lokapriya Gopinath Bordoloi (LGB) International Airport of Guwahati can be staged as airline hub of Northeast if this trilateral highway connectivity materialize with state government's assistance.



Moreover this air connectivity strategy in Northeast by SpiceJet can directly boost tourism growth as it has potential captivating scenic backdrop.
