Guwahati, Assam is reeling under extensive
heat of summer with met report of 380 C while rest of its districts
are reeling under boiling temperature of 340 C in Dibrugarh, 340
C in Golaghat, 330 C in Jorhat and 330 C in Barpeta.
People working outdoor had to take respite by staying indoor or taking coconut
water or icecream. But that are just temporary relief for a concrete city like
Guwahati where people staying indoor are forced out in cooler open air to calm
from concealed chamber's heat of their complexes.
Assam is a humid area, possibility of toll in health is
expected if this heat continues for another 48 hours. Usually Colleges, schools and office going people including outdoor working professionals are affected with such third consecutive extreme temperature in Assam.
