Flood
havoc is a common scenario but the newly elected Chief Minister Sarbananda
Sonowal is bracing up all tactics with a team of National Disaster Response
Force (NDRF) to swing swift action against the severe flood affected zones of
Assam.
Specially
trained 35 disaster management people were sent to the severed northwestern
zones of Jorhat district which is a crucial economic backbone of Assam. Flood
has left the complete scenario of this area in a dismantle state with no place
to take shelter, cut off from food and drinking water and unattended from
disease attack.
In
perspective of possible growing threat, the relief action has been intensified
in this zone by the NDRF team with collaboration of District Disaster
Management Cell officials including medical team. Engine boats, food packages,
materials, medicine and relief camps are set to reach out to major affected by
flood havoc. Even floating animals are taken care about, especially fodders for
herbivorous are arranged, since cows and goats are valuable assets for villagers
as they live on them.
