In
observation to exceeding figures of meritorious students from Patacharkuchi,
Assam, the Development Committee proposed to establish a vocational college in
its area for the convenience of those unable to make entrance in reputed
institutes.
Since
the seats are limited in reputed vocational institutes of Assam, the
meritorious students lapse to get a chance to study in their desired field
which Patacharkuchi, Nirmal Haloi College’s Principal Dr Bhupesh Sarma
emphasized on establishing a vocational college in the region to bring hope.
Patacharkuchi
in 2016, delivered good figures of toppers at college to university levels,
Barnali Das a M.Sc topper in IIT Kanpur, Physics, Suranjan Dev Sarma HSLC 10th
Ranker, Apeksha Das HSLC 14th Ranker and including many were felicitated
at Patacharkuchi auditorium.
Since
the meritorious students are the hope of bringing development in the area,
renowned social activist Munindra Narayan Goswami urged them to muscle up against
the toughest challenges to improve its present condition.
