Unforgettable memories left by the Nightingale of Assam, Dipali Barthakur during the tenure of her music career, felicitated with Jonbai Cultural Award in 2016 with cash of 30,000, Japi and Chelenga Sadar on World Music Day observed on June 21.
This award initiative headed by Manas Rabin under
the organization Jonabai Sangskritik Gosthi was accompanied by noted
personalities of Assamese art domain like Nayan Nilim, Rajesh Bhuyan, Bhitali
Das, Sajon Nayak, and Biman Baruah. It was at the house of the aging artist the
award was conferred, in the presence of revered artist of Assam Neelpaban
Baruah the husband of Dipali Barthakur.
