Under ‘Digital India’ programme of Prime Minister
Narendar Modi, the government officials in Assam will be trained in electronic
medium to cater better services, meet deadline and cut cost.
The launch of this programme “Digital India” was
recently made by the (NIELIT) National Institute of Electronics and Information
of Jorhat division, Assam. It is in observation of time bound service and cost
effective process for greater economic output from various departments of Assam
this digital training is launched according to the Roshni Aparanji Korati the
Jorhat Deputy Commissioner.
The training on electronic medium will cater to
various government departments like Environment and Forest, Agriculture, PWD,
Health and Family Welfare including others. It will be a 16 days training
programme to be conducted by NIELIT on the basic skills of digital module to
440 employees from different government divisions.
The director of NIELIT,
Krishnacharyya Baruah in observation to Digital Literacy Campaign in
Northeastern state of Assam highlighted that for two consecutive years the
training progmamme will be conducted in a phase manner. The training venue will
be held at NIELIT premise at 1st Floor of ISBT, Jorhat, Assam where Govt officials will be trained
in the communication, information and electronics technology (IECT) sectors.
