First time a Chief Minister of Assam has initiated to interact with flood affected people at large scale in various destinations that relief packages are circulated at the right time, Himanta Biswa Sarma instead of waiting for the district level authority for reports is taking directly from people’s account about government’s processing.
CM Himanta Biswa Sarma after interacting with the population of Hojai is interacting Bongaigaon and Sirang area people placed near Bhutan area where rivers had made major wash out of houses and animals. Specifically about the health of the people is a major concern for CM Himanta as outbreak of diseases seems to have erupted abruptly as flood water receded, claiming lives of the people.
