This
year monsoon started early so its depth of devastation which assessment is hard
to make with toll for the Assam government as toll takes to 36 with four more
deaths though flood situation improves.
State
government in the meantime has sanctioned Rs. 50 crore for Dima Hasao while Rs.
2 Lakh for restoration of houses. Lakhs more people yet to be stabilized which
will be a tough challenge for the government.
In fresh
report four deaths took in two different places though flood situation has
improved. SDRF have started to allot funds to the affected areas. Lives are yet
to be restored as 25,000 people are still in shelter at relief camps.
