Manipur witnessed peaceful polling
process amidst tension due to previous multiple conflicts with remarkable
turnout of voters especially female voters on a pleasant sunny morning at
around 7 am when the 1st phase of Indian polling began on 11th April.
High arrangement of security
level from armed police forces to para-military forces have been deployed in
the internal and border area sharing with Myanmar to ensure smooth polling with
streamline distraction of volatile anti-social elements’ interruption during
the poll process.
