Japan To Boost Mizoram’s Rich Bamboo Sources And Its Eco-system


More than half of Mizoram's land has bamboo forests with 30 plus species of it which are now under the threat of degrading eco-system where landslide in this hilly region is the primary matter of concern to which state’s Chief Minister Zoramthanga has initiated help from Japan experts to aid in larger bamboo productivity and retention of its eco-system.


Japan which faces the similar topographical challenges like Mizoram could help the state to come out of the major crisis of bamboo production and retention with share of effective ideas to tackle such situation with usage of advance technology to balance its eco-system in favor of green enviornment.


The Japan International Cooperation Agency (JICA) which was in Mizoram to shower light on the new advance techno methodology for new road route extension in the state without causing much damage to the ecosystem of the  bamboo prone zones. JICA co-ordinate of official development assistance to the Japan government highlighted to extend help to Mizoram’s call to improve state’s agriculture and horticulture processing to garner greater productivity and improvement of soil.
