Fair Deal At Fair Price For Shopping Is Meghalaya Government’s New Direction

Fair deal at fair price is Meghalaya government’s new direction to release quality food items at the grocery outlet with display of quota reserve price in Meghalaya’s East Khasi Hills District under NFSA and Non-NFSA, effective from 22nd March.


East Khasi Hills District’s Deputy Commissioner (Supply) has shortly released that shops should lift their allotted quota that is to become effective from 30th March. Instead the particular shop should display the names of the beneficiaries and price list outside.


Any outlet under government scheme’s fair price regulation if tracked with reports like constrain product supply, excess rate or beyond quality food distribution will have to face the Deputy Commissioner (Supply), East Khasi ills District. Consequences will not be in favor of the distributor if found guilty after close interrogation with  District’s Deputy Commissioner.
