CM Sonowal Marks Growing Fish Framing In Assam Can Play a Pivotal Role In Nation’s Economy


Mark of 20,000 metric tons fish production potentiality of the state, the Assam Chief Minister Sarbananda Sonowal praised and encouraged the traders and professionals in this lane of business with government’s futuristic goal to leverage greater revenue from it through implementation of effective Samagra Grammya Unnayan Yojna scheme.


Under this Unnayan Yojna scheme for rural economic uplift the Sonowal government placed hope with financial support of Rs. 33000 crores to drive more manpower and employments for dignified livelihood.


Prioritizing fishery on account of its potentiality to bloom further, Sonowal emphasized on harnessing greater Brahmaputra and Barak rivers for fast growth in this trade sector to help the state to become a tough competitor at national level.


Highlighting on the new wide open opportunities to emerge in South East Asia market and garner greater benefit through Prime Minister’s initiative of Act East Policy under central govt, Sonowal urged the youth into fish trading to make the state more self reliant.
